Lined Prayer Journal
A conversation archiver
$32
Prayer journaling is about being bold enough to write down the big things you are asking God for while also being brave enough to write the things you think He might be speaking in response.
As you cultivate the habit of writing your prayers, you learn to not only recognize the voice of God, but you get to know the way He speaks uniquely to you. Sure, there’s no verse in the Bible about physically writing out your prayers, but David set a precedent for it in the Psalms, leading by example and tangibly showing that writing your prayers is just another beautiful form of worship. But one you can return to and track how God responds to and answers it all.
Our Lined Prayer Journal is entirely unprompted, leaving plenty of room for the Spirit of God to direct your prayer where He wants it to go. The blank lines on its pages are a hallowed place to record your conversation together.

I saw an online interaction recently about someone breaking down what a particular Hebrew word means. A follower commented, “This is amazing! How can I do this, too?”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Learn biblical Greek and Hebrew or follow a pastor who does,” the original poster replied.
*insert record-screech here*

Guys, you DON’T have to be fluent in biblical languages to know what the Bible is actually saying. You just have to look at the word definitions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In case nobody has shown you how to do that, the free @blueletterbible app makes it super simple:
1. Search for the verse.
2. Tap on it.
3. Hit “Interlinear/Concordance”
4. Hit the Strong’s Number of the word you’d like to know more about.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rinse and repeat.

Easy peasy 🍋 (you know the rest)

To the one who has been chasing her tail trying to get her calling off the ground and sees no hint of fruit (let alone the pre-fruit flowering): This one’s for you. 👊🏼
I was catching up with a couple of girlfriends (@karipatterson and @annabhunter) a couple of weeks ago, talking about my next manuscript I’ve been working on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“It’s a study-commentary through Ezra, Esther, and Nehemiah,” I said.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Oh! We just studied Esther with our women,” my girlfriend said. And then she asked a question that caught me completely off-guard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Do you think it was voluntary?”
“Do I think what was voluntary?” I asked.
“The women auditioning to be queen,” she said.
“Huh,” I said. “I don’t know. I’ve never looked at the story that way.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And then, last week, I did. And, 𝘰𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘴𝘩, it was 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve felt God’s Spirit sitting heavy in my own since digging into this three days ago, with four specific words that I can’t seem to shake.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I truly believe that someone needs to read them today.
He’ll gather you, if you’ll let Him.
