Learn how to dig down deeply beneath the surface of the Bible.
The School of Scripture is the only implementation program of its kind that not only shows you exactly how to correctly understand biblical linguistics - but how to use a system of Scripture-study that can be applied to any portion of Scripture, at any time, for the rest of your life.

My name is Jane Johnson, and I am so happy you are here! I'm a Bible teacher and speaker, and I know what it's like to be stuck in a quiet time that isn't working. I know the craving to know God's Word but not be sure how to learn it without a pre-written Bible study to guide me. Because of that,
I'm deeply committed to teaching women how to love the Lord with all of their mind.
I spent a decade neck-deep in God's Word, teaching myself how to look at word definitions, understand verb constructs correctly, recognize the narratives that word patterns tell, and use the art of cross-referencing. And in the process?
I not only learned the Bible in a way I never thought possible. I also learned to recognize God's voice speaking to me through His Word, directly to my unique life story. I will teach you how to, too.
xo,

“My mind is blown and my life is changed!”
The things I learned in the School of Scripture has changed my mornings and I have heard God speak to me in new ways. Hearing Him speak directly to me through His word, not through someone else's Word, is so incredible. It's been honestly mind-blowing and is truly life-changing. Jane is the real deal and an incredible teacher. My time in God's Word will never be the same.

“I thought I needed to get back on my medication to learn this. But then God stepped in.”
Growing up in school, I was on ADHD medicine. I stopped taking it during my first year of college because I didn't like the way it made me feel, and I wanted to attempt school without it. I ended up taking a "break" from school shortly after that and never went back. I did not want to go to the School of Scripture, but I had a strong draw to it and knew I needed to. I am so glad I did!
I called my husband on the way home after the first day and cried. I actually felt like I needed to get back on medicine just to grasp what she was teaching. I felt like I wasn't capable. I had never been able to read the Bible and study it in a way that I clearly understood. I've never felt like I could find answers to questions I had along the way as I read, but I've always wanted to be able to, so I knew I had to go back and see it through if there was a chance it would help me.
I prayed that night and asked God to help me focus and learn without medicine because I really, really wanted to learn what Jane was teaching and to be able to dive deeper into Scripture on my own. The next morning, it all started to click! And by the end, I couldn't get enough! I felt a fire and freshness to reading and studying that I hadn't felt in a long time. I left feeling like I had to tell any and everyone about it because it was so good. I feel completely capable of digging into the Word on my own!! There is no doubt that Jane's teaching is Holy Spirit-led and truly so amazing! I spoke to several other women who said the same thing - that they were intimidated in the beginning, but by the end, they couldn't get enough and just wanted to read and read and read and study God's Word using Jane's digging method. I cannot recommend the School of Scripture enough! I can't wait to go again and bring all the women in my life with me!

Frequent Questions
What is the School of Scripture?
The School of Scripture (SOS) is a comprehensive program for Christian women who are ready and eager to deepen their knowledge of the Bible by correctly studying and understanding biblical linguistics.
is it the same as inductive bible study?
SOS follows the same foundational principles of inductive Bible study methods but heavily emphasizes linguistic study through word etymology, definitions, patterns, and usage to tell a richer narrative of a passage.
what do i need to for sos?
Not much! Just a reference Bible, prayer journal, phone or laptop, and (most importantly) an expectant heart and mind that's ready to learn. (Don't forget: there's no spiritual gift of learning - that's for everyone.)
what's the difference between sos, camp sos, and sos Live?
SOS is an online digital course that you do yourself, in the comfort of your own home.
Camp SOS is a small, intimate, retreat-style event in Bend, Oregon (where I live) with no more than 30 attendees.
SOS Live! is hosted at your church with a minimum of 50 attendees, and you can choose to have me teach it live at your event or stream videos from a previously recorded live event. Both teach the same content. Simply put, with Camp SOS, you come to me. For SOS Live!, I come to you. And with the SOS course, you don't even have to leave your house.
Do you have a question that wasn't answered?
“My walk with the Lord is forever changed!”
In my 25 years of following Jesus, I have done every devotional under the sun. I got many “Aha!” moments from them, but it was hit or miss. I often struggled to find the right group or book study. Then, six months ago, I decided to attend School of Scripture. My goal was to find a way to fill in the dry spells, to draw close to God even when I wasn't participating in a small group or reading a particularly captivating devotional. What I found instead was a way to engage daily, to spend my mornings in conversation with my Savior. This newfound intimacy with the Lord is so incredible that I often find myself lifting my hands in praise at my kitchen table to thank Him for revealing Himself to me so clearly and so beautifully through the study of His word.

Comment “worthy” and take the first step to changing the way you Bible study (or visit digmywell.com/worthy). There, you can download the first few passages of #theworthycommentary and see what I mean, experience the difference for yourself. It just might change everything for you.
Less diminishing. More believing that God will work with us, through us, and work all of our segmented parts and pieces for good. 🤎
It’s been a week since we celebrated the release of #theworthycommentary and the hard launch of the Dig Your Well® brand and the one moment that will sit with me forever? It’s when I glanced over from my makeshift stage and caught sight of my 9-year-old. His hands were in his pockets, his eyes were lit up, and he was locked in.
I told my husband later that it was as if I was watching the lightbulb of comprehension flick on for him - all those early mornings that he came downstairs to find me at the kitchen table with my Bible and laptop open, all those afternoon quiet times that he came to ask a question and found me at my desk. He put it all together in that moment and realized that it was building something.
I am viscerally aware that my kids’ childhood stories are a parallel ride to the birth of all of this and I have long prayed that they see the deep heart-work that God is carving out in me - that I’m not just their Mom who teaches women about Jesus. I pray that I’m their Mom who teaches them to hear God’s voice and love His Word just as much as I do.
When I was done speaking, my crew of people surrounded my family and prayed over me, my calling, this ministry. And, after that? Jordan wandered over to the shelf, picked up a copy of Worthy, and began to read.
A short while later, Rinnah slipped a book in front of me. Josh told her to ask me with sign it with a twinkle in his eye. “Rinnah-Roo,” I wrote on the dedication page, “this is your legacy.”
Two nights later, at bedtime, I went to do tuck-ins and both boys were already tucked up in their beds reading their own copies of Mercy Like Morning that they also picked up at the party, reading for themselves the story of my agonizing, decade-long wait to finally get to be their mom.
I didn’t expect to see it so soon, but I see it already - the fruit of all of this, the living out of this intentionally and prayerfully assigned ministry tagline that explains the why of it all. And I will keep digging my well until the day that I die. For me. For them. And for anyone who comes across these squares, these books, this space, feeling a little thirsty, and stops for a drink.
All this? It’s just the beginning.
I will NEVER get over stories like these—the way God uses the very words He had me string into sentences to wind their way around the nuanced and deeply personal experiences of women, leaving them feeling seen by Him, known by Him, and unmistakably loved.
I did my part.
Now, I get the jaw-dropping experience of watching God do His.
