Over here, lookin’ for fruit.
An excerpt from Colossians 4 that came boomeranging right back to me. Thanks so much for praying for my family. It means everything.

IT’S HERE 📣
It’s Worthy’s official birth-day and she is now out in the world and available TODAY. Grab your copy, share it with a friend, and get to digging.
I’m off to road trip north with my Worthy playlist on repeat for the next three hours. Want to worship alongside me? Search for “The Worthy Playlist” on Spotify or Apple Music Playlists
Last month, my mom calls. It’s been twelve weeks since they were here to visit. “Dad’s lost 30 pounds since we were there,” she says, and not on purpose. “We’re trying to figure out why.”
Late last week and another ten pounds shaved, they find the cancer in his pancreas. The kids and I have been back and forth visiting the last two weekends, celebrating half-birthdays, trying to catch my breath at the rapid pace this is taking.
Tomorrow, the day that Worthy releases, I’ll load up the car for the third time in ten days to make the three-hour drive back north. My twin sister will fly in with her boys. We’ll spend two days all together getting our bearings as chemo begins, the hospital bed is delivered and the downstairs living room becomes a bedroom. It’s only been 33 days since the call.
I didn’t know I would be writing the “Tomorrow is Worthy release day!” post feeling everything BUT celebratory. I didn’t know that, come launch week, when I planned Saturday evening’s party with the second book’s cover reveal and the party dress and the heels and the champagne toast, cancer would steal the storyline for the second time in my life.
I didn’t know.
There are friends asking, “How can I help?” There isn’t a tangible list. The launch party has been planned, the venue rented, the photographer hired, the final RSVPs secured (except for I forgot to rent the bistro tables, I write that down).

Help me do the heavy lifting of marketing and PR so that I can be free to help my mom with the literal heavy lifting of caring for her suddenly frail husband of 54 years.
Spread the word, buy a copy for a friend, dig into the first passages, and, as soon as you get the book? Go to the site you purchased it from and leave a review. Let readers know what to expect. Let them know how it helped you. Let them know how digging your well has changed the way you know God’s Word - for them, and for the generations after them.
This launch week looks absolutely nothing like I thought that it would. But still, through every single moment, my song remains unflinchingly true: He is worthy.
So, perhaps for a while, you endure.
Two more days to Worthy’s release and it’s already trickling out into mailboxes! Have you received your copy yet?? #theworthycommentary
