To be honest, I crawled my way to His Psalm 23:5 table this morning, returning again to Colossians 3, and my spirit let out a shaky breath at verse 15:
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful,” it says.
I slipped into the word definition for “rule” at the tail end of a wild three week stretch that is another story for another time. Suffice it to say, it’s been marked by a level of spiritual warfare I have never experienced before, ever.
So, today? His peace is my protest.
I have SO much to tell you about my new book, including the nuances of the content, the intentionally designed layout, and all of the built-in tips to give you the confidence you need to study the Bible on your own. Until then, here’s a teaser for you!
I’ve been in Colossians again this last week with some sweet women that I’ve had the privilege of getting to know for the last seven months, while also preparing to teach a portion of Colossians 3 this weekend with a whole other crop of women across the state this weekend. So I thought it might be time to give you a glimpse at the kind of content you’ll be getting in Worthy, straight from Colossians 1.

His miracles weren’t done yet then.
His miracles aren’t done yet now.
Hallelujah, it is finished.
Hallelujah, He’s not done.
I’ve been reading this week through the gospel stories of the days leading up to the cross. When I read more familiar passages like these, I like to slow down and look for details I’ve never really noticed before.
This time, it was a small detail in Luke 23, just after Joseph took Jesus’ body off the cross to bury Him, and it completely shifted the way my brain is preparing for this weekend. Maybe it will shift yours, too. ♥️
Are you ready to set aside your Bible study for a hot minute and start studying the Bible? This is my morning framework in action the way it played out for me this morning.
Of course, there is SO much more to studying the Bible, like all of the observational and contextual things to follow that I don’t mention here. I go into a deep dive on all of that in the School of Scripture. For now, here’s a real life example of what it looks like to follow the framework that I adhere to.
